Calcot is not just ‘child-friendly’, we’re fully geared up for our smaller guests. You can eat, swim, or explore our grounds as a family. It’s all here for you to enjoy together; this is your Cotswold playground!
Kids Stay for Free
With a selection of 13 spacious rooms and suites to choose from, there's room families of all sizes, and with our attentive staff on standby for any of your needs you can take the time to focus on the making those precious memories.
And if you're looking for a relaxing midweek stay, the little ones can stay for free with our exclusive offer! Including breakfast and Kid's tea, with 4 hours in the Playbarn accompanied by our nannies and an extra special splash time in the spa.
Available Sunday - Thursday, excluding school holidays, subject to availability.
School Holidays
Throughout the school holidays, our Playbarn team organises a schedule of delightful activities for our young guests. From exciting scavenger hunts across our vast 220-acre backyard to getting creative with arts and crafts, there's endless fun for children at our family-friendly retreat.
Playbarn & The Mez
With plenty of toys for the little ones, games consoles for the older ones and lots of other kids to play with, your tots will have tons of fun, stimulate their minds and learn new things at The Playbarn and The Mez.
Our younger guests can enjoy up to 4 hours of unlimited fun in The Playbarn every day from 9:00am until 1:00pm or from 1.30pm until 5.30pm (including weekends).
Outside Play
Welcome to Calcot & Spa, your personal playground in the Cotswolds! Dive into relaxation with poolside lounging, disc golf, tennis, or pedal your way through our bike trails. Our 220-acre backyard is bursting with adventures waiting for you to uncover. So, what are you waiting for? Let the fun begin!

Can you organise babysitting?
Absolutely, babysitting can be arranged with 48 hours notice at £25 per hour and will be billed to your room. All of our sitters are DBS checked and many are our lovely nannies from The Playbarn, so have first aid training and are confident in caring for children of all ages.

How does the child listening service work?
This unique system allows parents to relax during their evening in the knowledge that should the little ones wake up that we'll be listening and can let them know. To use this free service anytime, simply press the button on the monitor to activate the listening device and then let the reception team know.

Can children use the spa?
Yes, the spa is open to our little guests for children’s swimming in our indoor pool from 3.45pm until 5.15pm every afternoon and from 8.45am until 10.15am on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Outside of these times, Calcot Spa is for our adult guests only. The heated outdoor pool is open every day during the summer months (May to October) from 8:00am until 8:00pm. Children can enjoy a splash anytime with adult supervision.

Do you provide travel cots?
Of course! We have traditional wooden cots available or easily assembled travel cots. These can be ready in room if requested on booking.

What is Kids' Tea?
Calcot Kids' Tea is served every afternoon in The Hive from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. Expect home-cooked family favourites (check out our dining pages for a sample menu). Little guests staying with us have Kids' tea included in their stay so there's no need to book, just show up. If children would like to eat with their parents later in the evening in The Brasserie, they have an allowance of £7.50 each towards food .

What can I expect to find in your family rooms?
All our family rooms and suites have the following in them as standard... Baby listening monitor | Baby box to include steriliser (with cleaning brush and washing-up liquid) | Changing mat and bottle warmer | Optional wooden or travel cot | Child’s Farm 2-in-1 wash/shampoo | Bath toys | Nappy bin (if needed) | Step-up stool | Little bathrobes.
We can also provide the following on request (just say the word!)... Potty | Baby bath | Bouncer | Next-to-me crib | Bed guards | Microwave | Highchair | Children’s cutlery, plates and drinking cups.
